Protect Your Tuition Investment With GradGuard Tuition Insurance
In the past two years, Berklee has partnered with the Jed Foundation (JED) to strengthen our mental health, substance misuse, and suicide-prevention efforts on our campus. As a key priority in our work with JED, we recently reviewed our policies related to medical withdrawals/medical leave of absences. In our review, we looked at ways to reduce barriers for students to address urgent medical or mental health concerns.
We know taking time away is one of the most difficult decisions a student/family faces. Of the many factors that come into play with this decision, a barrier often faced is the loss of tuition. As we approach the summer semester and looking ahead to the fall 2024 semester, we’d like to take this opportunity to urge you to consider tuition insurance. This can bring great peace of mind to students who are considering taking a leave of absence for their wellbeing.
To this end, Berklee has partnered with the GradGuard Tuition Insurance plan, which helps students and their families overcome the financial losses that may result from events that force students to withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason.
Taking time away from Berklee to address health and well-being needs is often a courageous step for our students and families. Reducing the financial barrier is one way to ensure our students can take the time they need to restore their health and well-being.
