270 Commonwealth Avenue
270 Commonwealth Avenue was built in 1895 as a luxury hotel and is now home to roughly 260 students. Located next to historic Newbury Street, the residence hall is close to a variety of restaurants and stores, and a large green space with a walking path. Located in a residential area of Back Bay, 270 Commonwealth Avenue is a short distance from many academic buildings on campus. In 2021, air conditioning units were added to rooms in one half of the building.
