Planning Ahead: Graduating Class of 2025

Graduation Information and Policies

Graduation is when a student successfully completes all of their program requirements and the official conferral of a degree.

Berklee College of Music graduates students (confers degrees) three times a year. The 2025 graduating class includes students who complete all of their my.berklee.edu program requirements, as defined in their major grid, by the last day of the fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2025 semesters.

Graduation Planning

Berklee College of Music graduates students (confers degrees) three times a year. The three graduation dates are:

  • the last day of the fall semester;
  • the last day of the spring semester; and
  • the last day of the summer semester.

Students who complete all program requirements after their initial anticipated graduation semester will be graduated in the semester when outstanding work or requirements are officially completed.

This policy applies to all students, including music therapy, and music education students completing their internship and/or student teaching requirements.

The graduation process begins with submitting a graduation application, which is emailed to all eligible students each fall semester. A graduating class includes students who graduate within the academic year, which is a sequential fall, spring, and summer semester period.

Students near the completion of their academic program requirements will be invited to submit a graduation application that indicates their anticipated graduation semester (the semester in which a student plans to complete all academic program requirements).

Prior to completing the graduation application, students should:
