Establish a New Scholarship

Students graduate from Berklee with the tools and training they need to make a difference with their craft. Learn how you can support their education.

The rising cost of higher education can put a college degree out of reach for many. Berklee is no exception. Establishing a scholarship is one of the most tangible ways that you can make a difference in the lives of our students. Read more about our scholarship offerings below.

Current-Use Scholarships

When you create a current-use scholarship, you provide timely financial assistance to some of our most deserving students. Current-use funds are generally awarded over a predetermined period of time until the fund reaches a zero balance. You can also continue to add to your current-use scholarship over time.

Endowed Scholarships

When you establish an endowed scholarship, you ensure that money is available in perpetuity to help students afford growing tuition costs. Each year a portion of the accrued interest funds a scholarship award; the remainder is returned to the endowment so that it will grow with every passing year. Since endowed scholarships become a "living" part of Berklee, many donors choose to create one to commemorate a family legacy, a dear friend, or another important individual.

Any scholarship gift (current-use or endowed) can be established over a period of up to five years.

The Office of Student Financial Services selects award recipients based on the criteria set forth by the donor in the scholarship agreement.
