Mission and Vision

Mission

Our mission is to strategically address both short- and long-term initiatives for Berklee’s physical infrastructure by:

  1. Identifying the need for additional space or major renovations to existing facilities.
  2. Defining the utilization of new spaces to support academic and artistic endeavors.
  3. Evaluating neighborhood real estate opportunities for potential use by Berklee.

Vision

The institution’s scale is guided by our ability to attract students who will thrive within the Berklee experience and by our capacity to provide high-quality facilities and infrastructure to support their growth.

  • The acquisition of new facilities alleviates overcrowding and enhances classrooms, studios, ensemble rooms, and performance spaces.
  • Learning environments are enriched through the development of student life facilities, faculty offices, and dedicated spaces for student-faculty collaboration, while also meeting evolving technological needs.
  • The design of our facilities and support services is shaped by the teaching, learning, living, and working requirements of a 21st-century music education.
  • Additional high-quality student housing is made available to meet demand.
  • Any future expansion of the on-campus student community is strategically planned, ensuring that growth is supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure.
