Will Joseph Cook / DBMK
Will Joseph Cook is one of the UK’s brightest young talents. Now 24 years old, Cook has been developing his multi-dimensional approach to crafting infectious songs since he was just 14, finding inspiration in everything from the youthful indie charms of Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, and Darwin Deez to the diverse singer-songwriter tones of Benny Sings, Eels, and Neil Young. To date, he has amassed over 120 million streams worldwide across all platforms and released his sophomore album in 2020 on his own label, Bad Hotel, via The Vertex.
Cook has taken his high-energy live show worldwide, culminating in sold-out shows at London’s Omeara, Heaven, and the Electric Ballroom. He also has performed at high-profile international festivals, including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Boardmasters, Victorious, Secret Garden Party, Reeperbahn, Green Plugged Seoul in South Korea, and Corona Capital in Mexico. His newest album, Every Little Thing, is out now.
DBMK are self-described alt-pop misfits, making underdog anthems for a new generation. Featured on Spotify editorial playlists like New Music Friday, Anti-Pop, and Fresh Finds, the duo have amassed a 200,000-strong monthly listener base and over 20 million streams independently. DBMK also have earned press praise from the likes of Ones To Watch and Idobi Radio.
The band combines their fierce anti-establishment brand and inclusivity mission with their own unique sound: synth hooks, screaming guitars, house beats, and thought-provoking lyrics. Though their fans are new and growing, “The Kult” is hell-bent on making DBMK the biggest band on earth.
