In this master class, the duo of Shwesmo and Yogev Gabay will perform songs from their live act and delve into various aspects of their performance and composition, including global rhythmic concepts, odd meter grooves, EDI, acoustic instrument performance and production, polyrhythms, and more.
Yoel Genin (Shwesmo) is a producer, guitarist, and associate professor at Berklee College of Music combining metal, jazz, fusion, and Middle Eastern influences into a new electronic context. With vast experience as a composer, educator, and guitarist, Genin is devoted to endless exploration and breaking musical borders.
Drummer, educator, and renowned YouTuber Yogev Gabay is a sought-after musician in the international prog/polyrhythmic music scene. His YouTube channel has accumulated millions of views; on it, Gabay dives into what makes complex musical structures work within a song and, most importantly, how to master active observational listening.
