Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Contemporary Theater Capstone Festival presents an original work by contemporary theater student Sylvie Schuetz.

Piggy Wants to Fly is a whimsical and heartfelt telling of the natural history of pigeons. Audiences will leave having seen—in full color—a bird they either typically hate or take for granted. What wonder is there in what we choose to ignore?

This event is open to Berklee students, faculty, and staff with a valid Berklee ID, and invited guests only.

Director's Note

Well, hello. I hope you’re well. I welcome you into curiosity. I welcome you into the notion that everything has led to this. I welcome you with this play into something mycelial, queer, expansive, and tender. I hope that you will pause here and allow your body to be permeable. This play has been a hundred things I know and will be thousands more I don’t. I challenge you to let yourself be wonderfilled in any grief you’ve brought with you tonight—there may just be solace hidden where you’ve never thought to look.
