Sam Skold
Career Communities: Business
Sam Skold (he/him) is an artist manager and consultant who has a wide range of interests and experiences in the music industry. Growing up in a small town in Maine, he has now lived across the country and across the globe, including Chile, Nicaragua, and Spain.
For Sam, it’s important to highlight underrepresented groups in the music industry. While studying at Berklee Valencia, he worked at Disrupción Records and founded his own label for queer artists in the Latinx community. His love for A&R, branding, marketing, and management helped him succeed at the label and beyond graduation, to where he is now managing multiple independent artists and has acted as tour manager for three separate tours, in both the United States and the Netherlands.
Outside of Berklee, Sam is an artist management assistant at both Cornerscape Artist Management and Yellow Couch Management, where he focuses his creative efforts on touring, marketing, and fan engagement for artists with large reaches.
Most importantly, he knows that each student at Berklee has their own individual background, experiences, and stories, which means that no two paths to success look the same. His aim is to help you formulate your own definition of success and give you the tools you need to get there.
