Biography

Darrien Waugh, hailing from the vibrant community of Canarsie in Brooklyn, New York, joined the Identity-Based Programs team in June 2024. With a deep commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, he is dedicated to creating a supportive and empowering environment for Black students at Berklee.

Waugh joins Berklee from Keene State College, where he worked in the Office of Student Diversity, Belonging, and Equity. He holds a general business degree, an MBA, and a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Nichols College. These academic credentials, combined with his practical experience as cofounder of ThinkinGenWealth, a business that focuses on educating marginalized communities on all aspects of financial literacy, provide him with the comprehensive understanding and skills to support Berklee's diverse student body.
