Lauren Weintraub / Morgan Johnston

An evocative musical storyteller with songwriting craft well beyond her years, Lauren Weintraub left her hometown of Boston to answer the call of Nashville’s music community. Since attending the Curb College of Entertainment at Belmont University, Weintraub officially began her professional songwriting career in June 2019. Weintraub became the first signee to a joint venture between hit songwriter Brandy Clark and Big Machine Music. She has since has had huge success on TikTok, earning over 8 million likes and 435,000 followers. Her debut single, “She’s Mine,” has over 7 million streams.

As a performer, Weintraub has been on stage since the age of 4, beginning as an equity actress and gracefully transitioning into writing her own songs. She has performed in venues across the United States, from The Bitter End to The Cutting Room, and Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café to Gillette Stadium. This half-pint dynamite recently was nominated for an iHeart Radio Music Award for TikTok Songwriter of the Year. She just inked a record deal with Virgin Records and is in the process of recording new music to be released throughout 2022.

Hailing from Rhode Island, Morgan Johnston is an indie-folk singer-songwriter who is stomping, strumming, speaking, and singing her way to empowering both herself and her listeners. Her lyrics are inspired by the natural landscape of places as much as by the emotional landscape of human experiences. While most often found singing with her guitar, Johnston is known to experiment with different stringed instruments and tunings as well as vocal arrangements on loop pedal. As a music therapist, she is constantly reminded of the healing power of the music she aims to share.
