Biography

Growing up in a strict household in Inglewood, California, curse words were never allowed in the music DJ Dahi consumed. Rather than fixate on what was forbidden, Dahi found a loophole and turned his focus to hip-hop beats at a young age.

Now, after many years of hard work and the relentless pursuit of his craft, he's come to master those very sonics. Dahi's clever balance of emotion and energy first got him noticed by Freddie Gibbs and Kendrick Lamar, who relied on Dahi to produce "Money Trees" for his acclaimed second album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, before turning to Dahi again to produce five tracks for his critically acclaimed fourth album, DAMN. Outside of his well-recognized work with Lamar, Dahi has worked with and produced for Drake, Dr. Dre, SZA, Travis Scott, and Mac Miller, among many others.

Dahi is signed to Def Jam Recordings and actively working on various upcoming major releases.
