Tom Huangpu is an indie-folk singer-songwriter who values authenticity and vulnerability in his music. He believes that connection and understanding are the most important things in the world. Through his songwriting, he aims to convey feelings and experiences that words alone cannot express. Drawing inspiration from artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Leith Ross, Mori, and Ryan Beatty, Huangpu crafts his sound with depth and sincerity.
Originally from Philadelphia and now based in Boston, Huangpu grew up in a community where music was always present but often lacked meaning. It wasn't until he began writing and engaging with honest lyricism that he discovered true significance in music. While he writes to better understand himself, he hopes to connect with listeners and offer something meaningful to them.
