Fresh Prospects: Christian Inman and Lourde Childs

Christian Inman and Lourde Childs will perform as part of the Fresh Prospects series—a showcase of the best up-and-coming artists attending Berklee.

Born and raised in Maryland, Christian Inman knew music was his purpose. He grew up singing in church watching his father lead the praise team. This is where most of his early performance resided. Inman's parents noticed early on that he, like his father, had an intense passion for music, so they cultivated it in every way possible. Inman had always performed, but it wasn't until 2018 that he knew he wanted to be an artist. Due to his his inability to protest in June 2020, he released his song "Change," which garnered praise from Liza Koshy, NBC4, and millions over TikTok and Instagram. Inman then released "I Can Fix You," a folk/acoustic singer-songwriter pop song that illustrates the struggle between the heart and the mind when in love. In collaboration with Lourde Childs, "2 AM" snatches the listeners from wherever they are to a nightclub with reverb-heavy synths and a driving kick and bass combo.

After creating a buzz with his latest single, "TALK TO ME," Inman returns with his latest track, "All I Need." This song is a personal reflection for the artist, sharing the bravery it takes to navigate life independently.
