Fresh Prospects: Alexia Scott / Preston Lydotes

Preston Lydotes will perform as part of the Fresh Prospects series—a showcase of the best up-and-coming artists attending Berklee. Lydotes is an up-and-coming alt-indie/rock singer-songwriter from Boston. Known for his timeless lyrics and refreshingly raw vocal timbre, the 19 year old effectively articulates his experiences through unique rock-oriented storytelling—cultivating a coming-of-age band sound fit for the largest stadiums in the world. Now a student at Berklee College of Music, the multi-instrumentalist performs regularly throughout the greater Boston area and has teamed up with some of the best young musicians and producers to help bring his creations to life in the studio. This would include the October 2022 release of his debut single “Golden Season,” and his recent February follow-up single "Lonely As Me." Lydotes is set out to release another single in the coming month as part of a subsequent LP release in the spring.

Based in Boston, Alexia Scott is an alternative rock singer and songwriter. She loves to explore her inspirations from past new wave artists like Peter Gabriel and fuse them with modern indie rock acts like Zella Day and the Arctic Monkeys. Her music is driven by elements of mystery that leave the listener with their own interpretations of what the overarching themes are, as heavy drums and slide guitar set the scene.
