Michael Moyes
Michael Moyes, chief operating officer/associate vice president of enrollment strategy and marketing for pre-college, online, and professional programs, oversees all admissions, enrollment, marketing, data analytics, and the implementation of strategic initiatives for Berklee’s Pre-College, Online, and Professional Programs Division. He is an educator who teaches three courses at Berklee Online: Music Theory 101, Music Theory 201, and Music Foundations. Moyes is a composer who has performed piano as a soloist, in small ensembles, and accompanied by full orchestra. In addition to piano and music theory, Moyes teaches five string banjo and performs and records bluegrass, country, and folk music.
Moyes has a long history of implementing technical, operational, and strategic initiatives designed to improve the student experience across all divisions of Berklee. Since joining Berklee in 2008, he has directly overseen the implementation of some of Berklee’s most impactful student-focused initiatives, including the One Berklee application process, improvements to financial aid–awarding technology and processes, instituting a key performance indicator–driven approach to communications, and much more.
As a public speaker, Moyes has presented around the world on topics ranging from online learning pedagogy and music production analysis to enrollment management strategy. He has adjudicated MIT/Berklee creative entrepreneurship pitch sessions as well as songwriting contests for incarcerated youth, a population Moyes is particularly passionate about working with.
