Michelle Quiñones Palmarin

Assistant Dean for Community Standards and Conflict Resolution
Michelle Quiñones Palmarin has been at Berklee since July 2015. She previously served as director of community standards at Stetson University in Deland, Florida. Prior to that, she served as a coordinator in the Office of Student Conduct at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando for three years. She also worked for the UCF Police Department in the Victim Services Unit for four years before transitioning into the field of student conduct.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from UCF. She also pursued her graduate studies there, earning a Master of Science in criminal justice.
She is committed to creating a strong community experience for all students, and she works to educate and hold students accountable to the high standards and expectations of Berklee. You can reach her at communitystandards@berklee.edu.

Colleen Todd
Associate Director for Community Standards and Conflict Resolution

Colleen Todd is the Associate Director for Community Standards and Conflict Resolution. In this role, she supports the community through engaging with students in developmental conversations, upholding accountability of the Student Code of Community Standards, and serving as a resource to students.
She previously served as the assistant director for community standards at Emerson College in Boston. Prior to that role, she served as a resident director at Berklee College of Music. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, and a Master of Arts in international higher education from Boston College.

Hearing Officers
The Office of Community Standards and Conflict Resolution trains staff from around campus to serve as hearing officers. The role of a hearing officer is to review referrals of alleged violations of the Student Code of Community Standards and conduct a fair and impartial review of facts to determine an outcome.
