Robert S. Murley

Robert S. Murley is a vice chairman and senior advisor of UBS. Murley joined Credit Suisse First Boston in 1975 and was named a managing director in 1984, appointed vice chairman in 1998, and appointed chairman of investment banking in 2005. He began his career in the New York office and in 1983, he relocated to the firm's Chicago office. Following the acquisition of Credit Suisse, Bob joined UBS in January 2024. 

Murley received his B.A. from Princeton University, his M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and his M.S. from the London School of Economics. Murley serves on numerous corporate and civic boards. He is chairman and lead director of Stericycle and a director of Brown Advisory and Harbour Group. His civic activities include serving as an emeritus trustee of Princeton University and the Princeton University Investment Company, chairman emeritus of the Educational Testing Service, chair of the Board of Advisors of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and director of Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. In addition to serving on Berklee’s board, he is also a trustee of the American Enterprise Institute, Lake Forest College, Ken Griffin Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago, and the Finance Committee of the London School of Economics. He is also a member of the Economic Club and the Commercial Club of Chicago. Murley and his wife have three children and reside in Lake Forest, Illinois.
