The Berklee Keys with Jetro da Silva, Dennis Montgomery III, George Russell Jr., and Ron Savage

Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience featuring three of the best keyboardists on the planet—Jetro da Silva, Dennis Montgomery III, and George Russell Jr.—accompanied by drum virtuoso Ron Savage. The concert, performed and improvised spontaneously and produced by Rob Rose, will feature the group performing solos, duos, trios, and quartets of music from gospel, R&B, and jazz traditions.

Jetro da Silva is one of the country’s most in-demand musicians. He is an alumnus and former assistant chair and professor of the Piano and Ensemble departments at Berklee College of Music. He has performed or appeared with Whitney Houston (a 10-year stint, including world tours), Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, Jamie Foxx, and many others.

Dennis Montgomery III is a pianist, organist, and Berklee professor who has been the director for the college’s Reverence Gospel Ensemble for nearly 30 years. Under his leadership, the Reverence Gospel Choir has become one of the best-known ensembles at the college and beyond. Among those who have passed through and gone on to successful careers are Paula Cole ’90, Lalah Hathaway ’90, and Susan Tedeschi ’91.

George Russell Jr. is chair of the Harmony Department at Berklee. Russell has received the Ted Pease Award for Excellence in Teaching, along with the Curriculum Development Award for the Writing Division. He also has been recognized with the Most Distinguished Faculty Award, the highest award Berklee gives to faculty. Russell has performed with with Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Ernie Isley, Cecil McBee, Semenya McCord, and many others.

Ron Savage is the interim dean of the Professional Performance Division at Berklee. He has performed with many jazz greats, including Cyrus Chestnut, Gary Bartz, Don Braden, Mulgrew Miller, and the Czech State Philharmonic. He has recorded with Christopher Hollyday, Cecilia Smith, and Patrice Williamson.
