Daiza / glo / Nat Reed
Electronic art producer Daiza (a.k.a. Danielle Thwaites) is a current Berklee student whose sound is best described as unpredictable yet oddly cohesive. Her music can vary from catchy summer hits to grungy electronic tunes. Daiza is a frequent participant in local organizations like Beats by Girls and Women in Music Boston that inspire and encourage women who are involved in the music industry.
Currently based in Boston, glo came to fruition when producer and instrumentalist Dyami Wilson sent a rough track to Austin Macasieb, a harpist and self-taught vocalist, asking her to create a melody to sing over the dreamy and ambient track. This is how the duo's first single "Distraction" was created and an electronic-pop duo was born soon after.
Nat Reed is a new R&B-pop artist rising through the Boston music scene. She creates ethereal sensuality in her music with heavy vocal textures over minimal production elements. Her main musical influences include artists like Jhené Aiko and Kehlani, but she has created her own unique sound within those vibes. The debut music video of her song "Gold" garnered a press release from Sound of Boston and the song itself made it onto the 2017 breakthrough playlist on the Australian music blog Howl and Echoes.
