Cabaret Presents: A Celebration of the Music of Michael Wartofsky

Michael Wartofsky is currently recording a CD of his songs with music direction by Eric Stern and featuring vocals by Broadway actors Kate Baldwin, Darius De Haas, Annie Golden, Aisha Jackson, Michael Roberts McKee, Allie Trimm, Alysha Umphress, and more. Wartofsky composed the musicals Car Talk: The Musical!!! and Cupcake, both produced in Boston in 2012, and wrote music and lyrics for The Man in My Head starring Darius de Haas at New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) 2006. Along with David Reiffel, he was a finalist in the 2014 Davenport Musical Theater Songwriting Contest, and his song “Without Your Love” was recorded by John Michael Dias for his 2014 release Write This Way. In 2013, Wartofsky’s songs were featured in the revue Never Far From Home with a script by Broadway playwright Lydia Diamond. The Broadway Boys have performed "All the Possibilities," named one of the Top 25 Songs of 2012 by ContemporaryMusicalTheatre.com. He is also a Berklee professor, where he oversees the minor in musical theater writing.
