Technology for Screen Scoring Students

As an undergraduate Berklee student majoring in Screen Scoring, the required software listed below will be essential to your success.

The Cubase Pro and Dorico Pro e365 licenses are subscriptions for one year that include upgrades during the subscription period. After one year, students need to renew their subscription by purchasing a renewal license from Berklee. If you do not renew the Cubase Pro and Dorico Pro e365 license subscriptions, the applications will not run. You can purchase a one-year license renewal via the Technology Service Desk (login required).

Required Hardware

The Screen Scoring Department does not have any hardware requirements.

Required Software

You will be billed for the major bundle along with all other college charges when you register for SCRN-202 or FS-203. The software bundle will be emailed to you during the first week of the semester.

Screen scoring students in FS-203 or beyond are required to own all bundle components. Students can only opt out of purchasing bundle components through Berklee by submitting individual receipts for each bundle component for which they are requesting waivers. Please send any receipts or questions to screenscoring@berklee.edu.

In addition to the major bundle, students enrolled in FS-203 or SCRN-202 will be required to purchase the following software on their own:

Berklee Orchestral Tools Library - (requires OnePass login) Instructions for purchasing Orchestral Tools can be found on the Screen Scoring department site

Dorico - (requires OnePass login) Purchase Dorico through Berklee's Retail Sales page. The Service Desk will send a registration code and link with installation instructions. Requires subscription renewal after one year.

Eligibility

To receive the Screen Scoring major bundle, a signed Declaration of Major Form must be received at the Office of the Registrar before the start of the semester, and you must be taking SCRN-202 or FS-203. Your account balance at the college must be cleared prior to getting your bundle. Questions that may arise as to bundle eligibility should be directed to the Screen Scoring Department:

If you are a double major student in one of the programs listed below, you will be billed for the technology requirements of each of your majors. Please be sure to review and understand all of the technology requirements for each major that you plan to declare.
