With its faculty members representing the U.S., Canada, France, Australia, and Switzerland, IMEP Paris College of Music provides all the benefits of a truly international music school while being conveniently located in the center of Paris. Our teachers (including Rick Margitza, Peter Giron, Manuel Rocheman, and Josiah Woodson) not only share their passion for music, but are also able to pass on their experience as internationally touring musicians.
IMEP provides students with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, from Steinway and Yamaha pianos, Canopus drums, Mesa Boogie, AER, and Fender amplifiers to fully equipped music technology workstations. Between the decades of experience of our faculty and staff within the music scenes of Paris and other cities, and an ever-growing number of alumni creating careers for themselves throughout France and internationally, there is a true sense of community and collaboration that students and teachers are able to share.
Live performances and jam sessions in local Parisian clubs and concert halls are also part of the student experience at IMEP. Partnerships with local studios allow students to benefit from reduced rates for rehearsal spaces and master classes. Past IMEP master class artists have included Lionel Loueke, Clarence Penn, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Gilad Hekselman, Yaron Herman, and Kevin Mahogany.
