Pink Martini, in recognition of its 25th anniversary, invites fans to celebrate the milestone on its Silver Jubilee tour. Led by the gorgeous vocals of China Forbes, Portland’s “little orchestra” will perform songs from its nine-album career.
Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world—crossing genres of classical, jazz, and old-fashioned pop—bandleader and pianist Thomas Lauderdale founded Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, public broadcasting, and education.
A quarter-century later, Pink Martini still creates beautiful music and tours the world, singing in 25 languages at opera houses, concert halls, film festivals, museums, and fashion shows.
