Paquito D’Rivera and Berta Rojas Meet Berklee: The Music of Agustín Barrios Mangoré
Paquito D’Rivera, Grammy Award–winning Cuban musician and composer, and Berta Rojas, guitarist extraordinaire from Paraguay, perform music from their recent release Dia y Medio.
Performing with a large ensemble of Berklee College of Music students, the concert features music by celebrated composer Agustín Barrios Mangoré and traditional Paraguayan music such as “Recuerdos de Ypacarai,” “Pajaro Chogui,” and “Mis Noches sin Ti,” arranged by Berklee students.
The concert is produced by faculty member Oscar Stagnaro and Matthew Nicholl, associate vice president for Global Initiatives.
