Directed by Mimi Rabson, this community outreach string ensemble will perform music chosen by the participants. 

The Funkestra is an all acoustic string ensemble. The players choose their favorite tunes for this performance. 

This performance will be a genre-bending performance lead by Jamie Berland on their violin, supported by lovely friends. The culmination of music and artistry at this show will result in a performance art experience.

"Satellite of Qantara" (qantara means arch) brings to life a vision for the unbridled fusion of world jazz, Middle Eastern, Western classical, and Latin American music to transcend the boundaries of genre and geography. Its motto: One Planet One Music.
