In November 2016, Charles Lloyd(Opens in a new window) & the Marvels recorded a powerful version of Bob Dylan’s Masters of War with singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams(Opens in a new window). The success of that single led to this unique collaboration and tour, which includes guitarist Bill Frisell, pedal steel guitarist Greg Leisz, bassist Reuben Rogers, and drummer Eric Harland.

Lloyd, a legend in the music world, could slow down and rest on his laurels—but that is not his way. “Go forward” is his motto, as he keeps shifting to a higher, well-calibrated gear.
