Get Involved

Over 100 Berklee student clubs enrich the student experience, create a diverse community, encourage involvement, and provide opportunities for students to build valuable skills. Open to all Berklee students, these clubs organize programs, events, and meetings across campus throughout the academic year. Clubs listed here are officially recognized through the Center for Campus Life.

BoCo Runs is an all level running club that aims to promote an inclusive and fun environment for beginners and experienced runners alike.
The Black Student Alliance of Boston Conservatory at Berklee seeks to promote the welfare and progress of students of color, and hearing the individual needs of the students and community. The Alliance is rooted in African American history and culture, and seeks to share this knowledge at the conservatory. Through service and by providing and/or participating in programs at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and in the surrounding areas, members will make a difference in society by using not only their artistic talents but also their cultural competence.

Founded at Berklee in 2022

The Latinx Student Alliance was founded in 2022 by Laura Santamaria-Mendez. The club was founded to address the lack of Latinx community at the conservatory and lack of representation in the classical music canon overall. The LSA intends to bring students of Latino descent together and provide them with opportunities to debut their culture through the arts at the conservatory. La música nos une a pesar de que la sociedad intente separarnos!

We strive to create an environment in which students feel comfortable to partake in and learn about Brazilian culture and music, as well as giving opportunities for Berklee’s Brazilian students to represent their country in performances and gatherings.

The Catholic Community at Berklee College of Music is an affiliate with the Catholic Center Hub at Northeaster University as a "Hub School," per the order of Boston Archbishop Sean O'Malley.

Founded in 2023

The Chess Club at Berklee was founded unofficially in the spring semester of 2023 with meetings being held every Wednesday in rooms reserved by the E-Sports club. It was created for a fun and consistent place for people to come and bond over a shared interest of chess.

The club wants to give the chance to the non–Chinese students and Chinese students a good platform to learn and understand the music industry business in China, so in the future people all can develop the career in China.
The Chinese Student and Scholars Association (CSSA) is a club that hopes to achieve the following goals; Strengthen the bonds between Chinese Students at Berklee College of Music and The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Organize concerts and events, sharing Chinese traditional culture with the world. Achieve new innovation in Chinese contemporary music.

Making their contribution to the diverse music scene at Berklee College of Music, the Chinese Traditional Music Club presents Chinese music in traditional and modern form. Its members include talented Chinese traditional instrument players, arrangers, and songwriters.

Founded at Berklee in 2022

Chord Achoired is Berklee's premiere chamber choir, dedicated to mastering period-accurate performance practices. Our ensemble emphasizes historical authenticity, blending musicological insight with artistic expression. Through intensive rehearsals, members are immersed in an educational environment focused on technical precision, stylistic integrity, vocal excellence, and personal and professional growth.

Circle of Roots provides students at Berklee College of Music with an opportunity to circle sing. ​​Circle singing is an improvisational technique that involves creating music in the moment with a group of singers and dancers. For example, with four people, each person can improvise a musical part, which could include a bass line, rhythm, melody, and harmony.

Crepusculum is a student-run chamber choir based at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Crepusculum, Latin for twilight, strives for the perfect blending of light and dark voices. With a wide variety of backgrounds in music, the group has a unique sound. The group performs both student works as well as more well-known pieces in both service, concert and video setting. 

Founded at Berklee in 2002

The club has been apart of the Berklee community for over twenty years! About twenty years ago, MPE Professor Steve Webber started a DJ and Turntable course at Berklee. In 2002, our current DJ course faculty member, Jason Dawson, started an unofficial club and called it, "The Turntabllist Club." The Turntablist Club's legacy lives on through us. In 2021, Club President Aileen Shen renamed the club DJ Club at Berklee and became an official campus club.

The mission of EarthStone Theatre Company is to center student led theatrical production in its various forms, and to enrich the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music communities and beyond through the production of shows.
The EDI club will serve as a platform for EDI students to interact, workshop, and perform together. Its main goals are to encourage participation in student-led performances, raise awareness to the EDI program, and foster a welcoming environment for students of all skill level to learn about implementing EDI in their own performances.
