The Dream—Viviendo el Sueño
Latin Grammy Cultural Scholarship recipient and singer-songwriter Nicolle Horbath (from Colombia) joins drummer/music director Emanuel Lewis (from New York City) to present “The Dream—Viviendo el Sueño," a night when musical dreams come true.
Joined by a 17-piece band and additional dancers, this show will be made up of originals and cover songs influenced by industry icons like Carlos Vives, Shakira, Tony Succar, and Bruno Mars. From the beats of Barranquilla, Colombia to the sounds of salsa from New York City, this show's musical journey will be a dream to remember.
As stated in a recent interview, "Our aim is to have a night where we showcase our dreams coming to life. We will represent this with our cultural pride and diversity through the music we grew up loving. By the end of the show, we hope to encourage all who are in attendance to dream big and pursue their dreams."
Nicolle Horbath is a graduating senior majoring in professional music. She has opened shows for Los Amigos Invisibles, Juan Luis Guerra, and Chucho Valdés. She has been invited to perform at Carlos Vives's upcoming Boston tour stop at the Wang Theater.
Emanuel Lewis is a student dual majoring in performance and contemporary writing and production. He has received a Berklee World Tour Scholarship along with the Berklee Outstanding Percussionist Scholarship. He is the drummer, steel pannist, arranger, and musical director for the award-winning artist Eva Sita, who hails from the Ivory Coast.
