The Jazz Composers Alliance(Opens in a new window) (JCA) is a composer collective that has performed since 1985. Current resident composers include Berklee faculty members Bob Pilkington, Darrell Katz, David Harris, and Mimi Rabson. The JCA Orchestra is a 22-piece jazz orchestra comprising several Berklee faculty, administration, alumni, and occasionally students.
JCA performs original music written by the resident composers whose style reflects the wide range of contemporary jazz compositions. Influences include contemporary jazz, fusion, world, pop, rock, blues, and other genres.
