Ídolos Latinos
This concert is a celebration of the rich and diverse musical heritage of Latin America that brings together a talented cast of Berklee students who will honor the legendary Latin American artists that have shaped the course of music history.
From the passionate rhythms of Celia Cruz to the heartfelt lyrics of Djavan, and the soulful melodies of Franco de Vita, each student performer will embody the spirit and essence of at least one Latin American idol, infusing their own unique style and cultural influences into every note they play.
The performance will feature an eclectic mix of Latin American music styles, including salsa, merengue, cumbia, and bolero, showcasing the wide range of rhythms and musical traditions that have defined the Latin American sound.
Songs to be performed include timeless classics such as “Gracias a la Vida,” “Querida,” “Negra Presuntuosa,” “Lo Tengo Todo,” “Naranjo en Flor,” and “Flor de Lis,” among many others, paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Latin American music.
