A Message from the President
Commencement is one of our favorite times at Berklee—a time when we celebrate new graduates embarking on the next phase of life. It represents the culmination of extraordinary commitment and effort by our students and, at the same time, the nurturing and support of family and loved ones. Commencement is also a time when the college presents honorary doctoral degrees to those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of music. A highlight of each year's festivities is the student concert held the night before commencement, an event that pays tribute to the music and lives of our honorary degree recipients.
This section of the website is designed to answer the most frequently asked questions about Berklee's commencement weekend, which will be held this year on May 10-11, 2013. Here you will find a schedule of events; information about the ceremony and this year's honorary degree recipients (when they are announced); plus details about invitations and tickets, dining and lodging, directions and parking; and other helpful suggestions for making this weekend a memorable experience for you and your guests.
You may also enjoy exploring our coverage of past Berklee commencements, including video, photo galleries, press releases, webcasts, addresses, feature stories, interviews, and more.
If you have any additional questions about commencement 2013, please feel free to email Sarah Landry at slandry@berklee.edu.
On behalf of the entire Berklee community, I extend congratulations to the graduating class of 2013. We look forward to celebrating with you in May!
Sincerely,
Roger H. Brown
