Ronnie Burrage and Holographic Principle
Prolific drummer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and band leader, Ronnie Burrage will be featured in a performance with his quartet Holographic Principle. They will perform new music and selections from their most recent recording, Dance of The Great Spirit.
This quartet of energetic artists is brought together by a willingness to create music from the soul and love of their practices. The music transcends boundaries, fuses cultures, tells stories, and uplifts the human experience. Along with Ronnie Burrage (drum set, percussion, keyboard), Holographic Principle includes Nimrod Speaks (electric and acoustic bass), Frank Lacy (trombone and other brass), and Benito Gonzales (piano and keyboard).
Burrage is considered one of the top jazz and world musicians on the scene today. A drummer who also plays vibraphone and marimba, he is featured on more than 100 recordings and has toured all over the world, from Siberia to South Africa to Japan and has performed with Wayne Shorter '99H, Sonny Rollins '03H, Pat Metheny '96H, Jaco Pastorius, Joe Zawinul '59 '91H, and many more.
