PODCAST: Otis Brown III

The debut recording from drummer Otis Brown III was issued through a new partnership between alumna Meghan Stabile's Revive Music Group(Opens in a new window) and Blue Note Records. The collaboration promises a new catalog of recordings emblematic of Stabile's approach: innovative sessions that fuse jazz, hip-hop, and other forms of music. You'll hear that trailblazing ethic on the latest podcast, as Brown features vocalist Gretchen Parlato and an arrangement by pianist Robert Glasper on the late 1990s Shania Twain hit, "You're Still the One."

This track also provides a glimpse of what concertgoers will hear at Berklee during the first week of December, when Stabile—who was recently profiled in the New York Times—brings a series of events to her alma mater, including:
