Dayramir Gonzalez: Dayramir and Habana enTRANCE Senior Recital

Pianist Dayramir Gonzalez and Habana enTRANCE weave the sounds of contemporary jazz into the fabric of the deep musical traditions of Cuba. Lacing the music's Afro-Cuban roots with a modern approach, Habana enTRANCE brings to the stage a story of the future of Cuban jazz. This performance will include classical Cuban contradanzas, Afro-Cuban bembé, and American swing with varied ensembles, from piano solo to jazz quintet to rhythm section with full Afro-Cuban percussion that includes congas and batá.
