Script Analysis

Description

This course aims to develop the foundational techniques and skills to interpret a script for performance, production, or critical review. It examines dramatic forms, theories, structures, and genres. Students will read, view, and discuss modern and contemporary plays and films to analyze them as texts and to explore their themes, metaphors, and cultural contexts. Students may also attend a professional theater production or film screening in the Boston area.
