Portuguese singer and composer So Alma graces the stage alongside pianist Yujin Han, upright bassist Jan Portisch, and drummer Lumanyano Mzi for a memorable performance at the Institute of Contemporary Art. This group blends colors from Global Jazz music, Brazilian rhythms, and Portuguese culture to paint a canvas of refreshing, unique sounds. From original compositions to arrangements, their music seeks freedom and truth, aiming to impact people’s connections to themselves and the world.

So Alma is currently pursuing a music performance degree at Berklee College of Music, where she is a member of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute's undergraduate program. Under the guidance of jazz luminaries such as Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Ben Street, and Adam Cruz, among others, she has expanded her musical vision. Recently, she had the privilege of performing alongside the Grammy Award–winning Generation Gap Jazz Orchestra, led by Steven Feifke and Bijon Watson, at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston.
